Want to learn more about Barre Fitness?

​A barre fitness class incorporates body weight, light hand weights, small exercise balls and the ballet barre to tone, strengthen, and increase flexibility. There are no hard impact movements in a barre class, such as running or jumping.​

Each class follows the same pattern. 

  1. Warm-up, ab work, arm work

  2. Stretch

  3. Leg work

  4. Stretch

  5. Glute work

  6. Stretch

Classes utilize both familiar and new exercises with options to make each exercise easier or harder depending on your personal fitness level.

Raise the Barre is truly a "no judgement" zone.

  • just starting their fitness journey

  • looking to supplement their fitness routine

  • looking to get back into fitness

  • who want to add an active recovery workout to a more demanding fitness routine​

What should I wear/bring to a barre class?

  • Exercise clothes or any comfortable clothing that is easy to move in

  • Bare feet, socks, barre socks, yoga socks, or ballet shoes 

  • Please bring your own water

​

​Please note:

  • Yoga mats and hand weights will be available for your use, but you are welcome to bring your own.

  • If you opt to bring your own hand weights, please keep them 8lbs or less
